Introduction

Refreshing the Website

The Museo Italo Americano is a Museum in San Francisco California focused on curating art by Italian and Italian American people for all those who appreciate the culture. This project focussed on refreshing their website, introducing more intentional heirarchy and cohesive aesthetic appeal.

Objective

Website and Logo Refresh

The objective was to create a website refresh that better reflected the Museo's position as an established fine art institution. The intent was to create more intentional heirarchy as well as reduce noise, creating a dual emphasis on the art itself and driving attendance and membership.

Process

The process began with wireframing the different pages and their layout, both for desktop and mobile. The process then evolved into visits to the musuem where the featured photos were taken. Once all the assets were collected they were placed into the wireframe where the hierarchy was further developed and refined.
