Introduction
Art as a Key Design Element
This was inspired by a shoe collaboration between New Balance and Kith -- the focus was on illustrating realistic product art, as a means of creating a key design element for a new product release. The primary tool used here was Adobe Illustrator. The illustration is based on a photograph, and the process involved building a wireframe illustration and layering in color, texture, patterns, and shadow.

Objective
Creating a Realistic Product Illustration
The objective was to create a realistic product illustration for varied use across different brand assets, including: physical signage advertising, guerrilla advertising, complementary retail products, and physical product packaging. This creates a strong additional asset to complement product photography.


Audience
Hypebeasts
Hypebeasts fit into a large global subculture of streetwear, footwear, and highly limited collectibles. The audience category is not confined to age, class, or gender, it is inclusive to all those who appreciate the effort and creativity put into limited runs of products with intentional design.
